Rijkaard Richemond, MD - Executive director and public relations
Dr. Richemond Rijkaard is an esteemed general medicine physician dedicated to improving healthcare in his native Haiti. Born in Port-au-Prince, he laid the educational foundation for his future endeavors at College Alexandre Dumas Fils in Cap-Haitien, where he completed his primary and secondary studies. Driven by a commitment to advancing medical knowledge, he pursued higher education at the University of Quisqueya from 2016 to 2022.
In 2017, Dr. Rijkaard founded Help Medico , an organization focused on providing medical assistance and support to those in need. His passion for making a positive impact on the community’s health led him to co-found and assume the role of coordinator at AMED in 2022. Additionally, he became a proud member of US2GETHER in 2023, showcasing his commitment to collaborative efforts for community welfare.
Currently, Dr. Richemond Rijkaard serves as the Executive Director and Public Relations Officer of the SEL Foundation in Haiti. In this leadership role, he continues to spearhead initiatives that address healthcare disparities and uplift the less fortunate. His dedication to improving healthcare accessibility has not only defined his professional journey but also reflects his profound commitment to the well-being of his community. Dr. Rijkaard’s multifaceted roles and contributions underscore his role as a compassionate healthcare professional and community leader in Haiti.

Westephanie Francois, MD - Marketing representative
Dr. Westephanie Francois is a dedicated physician whose roots trace back to Gonaives, Haiti, where she was born. Her academic journey began at the College Adventiste des Gonaives, where she completed her primary and secondary studies. Dr. Francois then pursued higher education at Quisqueya University, where she diligently worked towards her degree from 2016 to 2022.
Passionate about making a positive impact on children’s health, Dr. Francois co-founded the Association for Medical Education and Development (AMED) in 2022. AMED serves as a crucial medical association focused on addressing the unique health challenges faced by children. Dr. Francois’s commitment to healthcare extends beyond AMED, as she has been a dedicated member of Helpmedico since 2021, contributing to various medical initiatives aimed at providing assistance to those in need.
In addition to her medical responsibilities, Dr. Westephanie Francois takes on the role of Marketing Representative at SEL. Her current position underscores her multifaceted approach to healthcare, showcasing her ability to bridge medical expertise with effective communication and promotion. Dr. Francois’s diverse contributions to the field reflect her unwavering dedication to improving healthcare outcomes and promoting well-being within her community and beyond.
