    Sandy Philippeaux, a passionate advocate for healthcare equality and education, was born and raised in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti. At the age of 13, Sandy embarked on a life-changing journey by immigrating to the United States.

    Sandy is the co-founder and president of the SEL Foundation, an organization committed to addressing the healthcare disparities prevalent in underserved communities. Inspired by her upbringing in Haiti, where access to healthcare is often considered a privilege rather than a right, Sandy has dedicated her life to making a positive impact in the medical field.

    Motivated by a deep sense of empathy and a desire to alleviate the suffering of those in need, Sandy aspires to become a physician. Her dream is not only to provide essential medical care to underserved populations but also to impart valuable health education that can empower communities to lead healthier lives.

  • Naicha Gustinvil - Co-founder and Vice-president

    Naïcha Gustinvil, embodying resilience and compassion, was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Her educational pursuit commenced at École Sainte-Trinité, followed by Nouveau Collège Bird.

    In 2008, Naïcha embarked on a life-changing adventure as she immigrated to the United States, where she continued her education at North Miami Senior High School.

    It was during her time at Florida Memorial University that her passion for medicine blossomed. Fueled by a desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others, she set her sights on becoming a caring physician. Presently, Naïcha is advancing through her third year of medical school, steadfast in her pursuit of healing others through her future career in medicine.

    Driven by her passion for medicine and guided by her role as an immigrant philanthropist, she co-founded the SEL Foundation, a beacon of hope aimed at elevating healthcare standards in her homeland. As vice- president, she is dedicated to contribute to the enhancement of Haiti’s healthcare system, which has regrettably suffered from neglect and disregard by the government.

    Naïcha’s conviction echoes the principle that great privilege demands significant responsibility, encapsulated in her heartfelt belief, “to whom much is given, much will be required.” Her story resonates as an inspiring testament to determination, resilience, and a fervent desire to effect positive change in the world.

  • Sandy Alexandre, APRN - Secretary

    Sandy Alexandre, secretary of SEL Foundation, was born and raised in Port-au-Prince Haiti; where she completed her high school studies at Nouveau Collège Bird.

    Sandy embarked on her nursing career as an LPN at Miami Lakes Technical School, marking the initial step in her 14-year journey in healthcare. She earned her Registered Nurse degree from Miami Dade College. Her commitment to professional growth led her to recently attain her master degree in nursing from Saint Thomas University.

    Her diverse experiences span a range of healthcare settings, including nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, home health, case manager, hospitals, detox centers, and correctional facilities. Sandy’s dedication to patient well-being and her multicultural background contribute to her holistic approach to healthcare, making her a well-rounded and compassionate healthcare professional.

  • Jacktil Charles - Marketing director/Event Planner

    Jacktil Charles was born and raised in Cap-Haitian, Haiti. His formative years instilled in him resilience and determination.

    Starting as a truck driver, he faced challenges head-on, displaying a robust work ethic. In 2018, he underwent a significant shift into healthcare, venturing into medical administration billing and coding. This change showcased his adaptability and eagerness to explore new horizons, even expressing interest in real estate.

    Observing the evolving landscape of healthcare, Jacktil pursued education at Keiser University, specializing in radiologic technology. This decision underscored his commitment to keeping pace with medical advancements. His journey encapsulates a versatile career, not just highlighting adaptability but also a fervent dedication to advancing technology in the healthcare sector.
